Visiting Catania will show you a city full of numerous monuments, baroque style architecture, and a "movida"; that no many people know about, in fact the "Catania by night"; attracts many Sicilians… from all over the island.

Discover mount Etna, named after the reverence that people have towards it, haven't changed its name since his origins, it's the highest active volcano in Europe with his 1260 sqkm and 3350 m above sea level (subject to eruptions).

In the immediate vicinities around the village, it's possible to visit many typical local villages such as Acitrezza, Acicastello, Capo Mulini or going a little further, at the foot of Etna, you can visit sweet little towns rich with history and traditions, with the possibility to take part in many of the local food festivals that take place all year round. For those who love art, it's possible to hop to the near Acireale to visit its beautiful baroque style or alternatively, going a little further away, out of Catania province, you could visit Noto's valley, including Noto, Palazzolo Acreide, Avola, or take part in excursions to the uncontaminated country side visiting places like Pantalica, Noto's lakes (Cavagrande), which were dug in the rock by a river that has been flowing undisturbed for centuries. Finishing with Syracuse (Archimedes home town) with its white rocks.
